Wedding Wish Wednesday: Make Up Tips with Daniel Martin
Just as the right outfit isn’t complete without the perfect accessory, no look is complete without a fresh face of makeup. Such was the case at the Christos, Kenneth Pool and Amsale bridal shows this Bridal Market.
Celebrity makeup artist, Daniel Martin led the brilliant makeup team backstage at the Cristos, Kenneth Poole and Amsale Bridal Shows this past Saturday. Amsale’s inspiration draws from understated drama paired with daring, modern style. To complement the designs, Daniel prepped the skin with Koh Gen Do’s Oriental Plants Essence giving it a fresh, dewy complexion. When sculpting the face, Daniel used Koh Gen Do Fresh Face Cheek Color and Maifanshi Face Powder, enhancing the natural beauty and line of the cheek bone. Amsale also adores a bold, bright lip and by using Koh Gen Do’s Sheer Berry Lip Gloss and Pink Red Lipstick, Daniel was able to create a powerful lip without overwhelming the face.
"The Amsale bride is strong and confident. We focused on creating balanced skin and created dimension to the brows and cheek with sculpting shades. The eyes looked dreamy with liner on the inside of the eye with a few coats of mascara and lips were a healthy pink with a bit of sheen. Refined and polished beauty is the Amsale bride," said Daniel Martin
Koh Gen Do products are available at Barneys New York.

Hand draped pleating along the necklines, Chantilly lace, blossom skirts, horsehair trims, and wispy organza all graced the runway. Elopement
Travels, new places and discoveries on my mind. Wouldn't it be grand to steal away to some far away place and elope?
Pack your gossamer gown and favorite strand of vintage pearls. Don't forget to pick up a few blooms of white lilies along the way. You won't need much with love on your side.

Monique Lhuillier Fall 2011 Collection + Trunk Show
When they speak of fairy tale dresses, they had Monique Lhuillier in mind. I had the pleasure of attending the Monique Lhuillier Fall 2011 runway show over the weekend and the collection was a floral fantasy come to life.
Inspired by the celebration of love and life, the collection heralded the comeback of romance and extravagance. Petals, leaves, rosebuds, delicate embroideries and lace, were all lightly-handedly woven into the collection. Divine gowns floated across the runway, setting many hearts aflutter, while darling short little white dresses proved to be the perfect thing to slip into for a night of dancing.

Bouduoir Session Tips
So you want immortalize your fabulous, chic, sexy, and always classy self in a boudoir session for the Mister. Of course for those of us not born supermodels, the thought of stripping down to our skivves can render us normally confidant modern women into demure Victorian maidens hoping to preserve our modesty.
Solution? Capture your stunning self in a few soft, unfocused shots. Not only will you be able to subtly mask all your worrisome spots, but the hazy quality gives you an ethereal mystery.
