Happy Valentine's Day with Mark Niemierko

I'm so delighted to share this truly romantic champagne reception Valentine's Party from Mark Niemierko, the UK’s premier wedding planner, and Caroline Burstein, Creative Director of Browns Fashion.

The St. Valentine’s evening drinks reception was held within the Browns Bride boutique on Hinde Street in London’s fashionable Marylebone. Guests were first informed of the event having received beautifully Gold Foiled invitations designed by Cat Hammond of Paper Cloud Creative and printed by Barnard & Westwood.
Calligrapher Paul Antonio scribed love notes and hearts onto the Browns Brides fitting room mirrors.

Invited guests were able to view dresses from designers including Oscar de la Renta, Monique Lhuillier, Peter Langner, Carolina Herrera and Vera Wang.

Champagne and Rose petal martinis were served alongside canapés by famed caterers Peyton Events. Spearheaded by Oliver Peyton who brought his experience in creating innovative food design. The menu included Quails Egg & Pancetta, Cheese Soufflés and Venison and Blackcurrant Skewers.

One room within BROWNS BRIDE was perfectly lit into a mix of pinks and blues, especially for renowned cake designer Peggy Porschen. Within this Dessert Room Peggy had designed cupcakes to match the Niemierko theme for the night. Blush pink and gold. Peggy also arranged for meringue kisses and delicious fondant fancies to be available for the guest’s enjoyment.

The sweet treats didn’t stop there. Peyton Events had several sweet treats in store from Macadamia Crème Brûlée, Tiramisu Balls and Raspberry and Chocolate Lollipops. All washed down with Espresso martinis.

Mark Niemierko commissioned one of his favourite floral designers, Rob Van Helden, to create remarkable arrangements. Rob is the florist of choice to some of the biggest celebrity names from Elton John, David and Victoria Beckham and Valentino. Starlight Design ensured guests look their best in flattering lighting, as well as installing a huge silk upholstered bar with shinny chrome top. Along with furniture experts Great Hire arranging mirror topped poser tables and perfectly placed love seats.

Quite the party Mr. Niemierko!

A Girl's Best Friend

All a girl really needs is her best friends. Of course, if the real deal isn't in your near future, a little sparkle of the Swarovski variety is just as nice! Like this stunning statement piece created exclusively for J.Crew by Dana Lorenz, designer of NYC-based FENTON and FALLON.

Crafted from exquisite Swarovski crystals and Czech stones (each one is individually set by hand on a tumbled mix of chains) and carefully finished with 100 percent silk, hand-dyed and tied ribbons that match the stones' brilliant palette. The essence of tough chic meets uptown glamour—this is the necklace everyone else will covet.
