Monique Lhuillier Fall 2011 Collection + Trunk Show

When they speak of fairy tale dresses, they had Monique Lhuillier in mind. I had the pleasure of attending the Monique Lhuillier Fall 2011 runway show over the weekend and the collection was a floral fantasy come to life.

Inspired by the celebration of love and life, the collection heralded the comeback of romance and extravagance. Petals, leaves, rosebuds, delicate embroideries and lace, were all lightly-handedly woven into the collection. Divine gowns floated across the runway, setting many hearts aflutter, while darling short little white dresses proved to be the perfect thing to slip into for a night of dancing.

Oh my, I do like the vibrant hues of this splendid reception! With clear Louis XIV Starck chairs and lampshade covered chandeliers, Ron Wendt's inspired creation hits all the right style notes. Plus with long runner tables, the striking effect goes as far as the eye can see.
