A Piece of Cupcake

Planning a wedding is a piece of delicious cake! Take these cupcakes from Mark Joseph Cakes for a wedding inspired by none other than Tiffany & Co.

What makes this design work so well? Thematic elements need not be overtly apparent. Here we get get the distinctive Tiffany colors and bow; by incorporating a mix of design elements such as polka dots and stripes make these cupcakes more than just your average Tiffany & Co inspired wedding.

Presenting these treats using several geometric shaped plates instead of the traditional cupcake tower gives the overall presentation a modern, sophisticated flair.

Take note of the main components of your inspiration and incorporate them with a gentle hand.

Coming Up Roses

A new way to incorporate roses into your wedding? How about these fashion forward black crystal tattoo rose tights?

Of course to flash these pretties, one would have to wear a short dress - which wouldn't be that bad! Any takers?

It's in the Bag

The Oscars are almost here and I can hardly wait to see all the gorgeous gowns making their way down the aisle - er I mean red carpet. Playing a supporting role in any actress' look for the evening?

Why, the clutch of course! And who else but Judith Leiber to add a little more sparkle to a glamorous night. Here are a few star's I'm hoping to see on their big night . . .

If you're like me, a Leiber piece is something I can only dream about. But as fate should have it, here's a great Amanda Pearl giveaway from fellow blogger Merci New York. Enjoy!

Helping Hands

So you're engaged! Now comes the hard part - figuring out who will be a part of your bridal party.

Bridal parties can range from one maid of honor to several of your best gal pals standing by your side. Small size weddings usually have 1-2 bridesmaids, medium size weddings have 3-4 bridesmaids, and large size weddings have 5 bridesmaids or more.

To ease some stress from your mind, don't feel obligated to ask every female friend to be a part of your wedding. Ask those gals whom you would like to share the happiest moment of your life, but don't feel obligated to ask everyone - a true friend will understand if you do not ask her. If you are a bride with sisters or future sister-in-laws ranks high on your who to ask list. Keep in mind that your bridesmaids will have to agree on the date of the bridal shower, coordinate details of the wedding, and bear the expenses of being a bridesmaid.

Good luck!
