Fizzy and Fresh

These darling mini Sofia Blancs are an instant crowd pleaser! Pale wheat with a slight celery tint, showing copious bubbles. With aromas ofGreen apple and ripe pear with hints of honey. Lively on the tongue with lots of bubbles, the tart apple strudle flavors seem just a bit off-dry, balanced with nice acidity that keeps it light and refreshing!

In Love with Wu!
Wowing stylish women the world over with his flawless red-carpet-ready gowns and sleek signature tailoring, designer Jason Wu has emerged as one of fashion’s brightest young talents. Here, the 27-year old talks wedding style and the inspiration behind his new bridal collection . . .
I WANTED TO EXPLORE NONTRADITIONAL BRIDALWEAR … by creating a collection that is youthful with elements of American sportswear. The pieces have a relaxed attitude that can be mixed with other looks from your wardrobe for different occasions.
I WANT A BRIDE TO FEEL … feminine and absolutely beautiful. The wedding dress should reflect her unique personality and aesthetic.
MY APPROACH TO BRIDAL DESIGN IS … much the same as my ready-to-wear collections. I create pieces that are meticulously crafted and will stand the test of time, so I simply translated this idea into bridalwear.
I THINK THAT THE MODERN BRIDE … is looking for more relaxed options. By designing bridal separates that can be worn after the wedding, you could say that I’m deconstructing the bridal genre as we know it.
MAKE IT YOUR OWN… a great belt gives a bridal ensemble perfect definition and contemporary flair.
I LOVE EXPLORING DIFFERENT FABRICS AND TEXTURES … for my NET-A-PORTER capsule collection, I’ve used materials that reflect my love of details. For example, the hand embroidered French knot and crystal tulle top is perfect when
worn with the slinky silk chiffon skirt or feathery organza skirt.
A JASON WU BRIDE HAS … a sophisticated elegance that is also understated. Many of the pieces are lined in a luxe silk charmeuse that makes them look and feel beautiful inside and out.
ULTIMATE WEDDING DESTINATIONS … I love the old-world glamour of the Versailles room at the St. Regis Hotel in New York, and for a destination wedding I adore the Playa Vik at José Ignacio in Uruguay, which is so beautiful and overlooks the beach.
