Viva Las Vegas!

"Ladies and gentlemen - Elvis has left the building!" Gone are the days of Las Vegas being a destination of the cliched bachelorette party. Today's Las Vegas features a wealth of tasteful surprises to delight the senses, such as an array of relaxing spas, designer stores, and fine dining restaurants.

Make your bachelorette party one to remember with an intimate dinner with your girls at the gorgeous restaurant The Mix at The Hotel, Mandalay Bay. With breathtaking views of the city from the 60th floor and 14,000 hand blown glass bubbles to create a modern masterpiece you'll start to think Sin City is a bit of heaven on earth.

The only sin you'll be committing? Having entirely too good taste!

Paper Source

What type of wedding would you like to have? David Stark Design creates a beautiful setting for the 125th Anniversary Metropolitan Opera, infusing centuries old type into creative design that is sure to have your guests saying wow!

From the mind of David Stark: "Exploded, cropped, varied in type and color, the array of graphics not only provided a wonderful walk through the Opera’s historic identities in print but it transformed the tent into a three dimensional collage. Elegant banners gently fluttered above vases and luminaries wrapped with glowing prints from every time period. It didn’t really matter if you could read all of the text. We often cropped at such extreme angles to simply celebrate the sheer form of the lettering and push it into the realm of pattern."

Inspirational and innovative!

Something to Stair At

Etiquette teaches us that it is impolite to stare, but with a grand entrance such as this, how can you not?

According to Chanel, the decor was made up of monochromatic arrangements of paper roses, daisies, leaves and petals that wound their way up and around the room's 32 columns and draped over the railings of the entryway staircase. There were 7000 handmade paper flowers made which took 4,800 hours to work and assemble.

What lucky bride would like to have this artwork at her wedding, but on a wee bit smaller scale!

Point to Ponder

When it comes to your bridesmaid's dresses, are you a bride that would prefer your bridesmaids to wear the same dress . . .

. . . the same color scheme . . .

. . . or it doesn't matter - look gorgeous!

Shades of Great

Step on over to the light side with decadent light fixtures at your wedding, but make no mistake - these aren't your average chandeliers! For the cosmopolitan bride that enjoys the finer things in life, a chandelier with a French design pedigree like this Baccarat one will have you saying "Oui"!

But you need not worry ladies - you can have the look without the Baccarat price tag. Ask your wedding planner if they can refer you to a vendor that has something similar for rent. Also head on over to a event props rental company for chandeliers, lounge seats and the whole nine yards to create a swanky vibe for you and your guests.

And if thoughts of your future Parisian chic wedding leave you wanting more, here are some home friendly choices with the modern couple in mind, courtesy of Neiman Marcus.

This is one case where it's okay to be shady!

I Want to Dance with Somebody!

Maestro, strike up the band! With flowing dresses and moves like these, you'll be hard pressed not to shimmy and shake it on the dance floor. After all, what's a wedding gown if you can't get on your feet and make dance happen?

Extra bonus if your photographer can get shots like these during your own dance recital with your guests!
